About us
The historic rowing stadium, the most atmospheric meeting place of the summer
The Rowing Stadium is located in South Töölö between Toivo Kuula Park and Sibelius Park. The building was completed in 1939 for the Helsinki Summer Olympics, but World War II prevented the games from being held. The Olympics were finally held in 1952, for which the building was renovated. The world-famous actress and soprano Hilkka Kinnunen successfully led an operetta theatre at the Rowing Stadium from 1959 to 1995. After this, no purpose has been found for the Rowing Stadium.
Today, the area operates as an experience, event and restaurant oasis on the shores of Taivallahti Bay in Töölö.
